The Coach's Corner
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” – Marianne Williamson

Weekly Coaching Tips By Dr. Zayd
May 17, 2006  (Play Audio Version)
Did you know that the difference between where you are today and where you’ll be five years from now is two main factors? 1) the books you read and 2) the people you associate with. Now think about it: what books have your read? And what kinds of people have you associated with over the last five years? They have determined your current situation. Why are books and people you associate with so important? Because the ideas, thoughts, feelings and energy you receive from them are like food for your mind and spirit. In the physical world you are what you eat. Likewise it is with your mental development. If you want a better future five years from now begin associating with positive people and reading positive books today.

Bruce McArthur, Your Life…Why It Is The Way It Is and What You Can Do About It: Understanding The Universal Laws.
A.R.E. Press: Virginia Beach, VA, 1993.

This is a marvelous book for anyone wanting to change their life through understanding and applying universal laws. McArthur uses the work of Edgar Cayce and biblical references to communicate universal concepts. He begins by explaining what universal laws are and how they affect your life. He defines universal laws as “an unbreakable, unchangeable principle of life that operates inevitably, in all phases of our life and existence, for all human beings and things, everywhere, all the time.” These laws facilitate the operation of all aspects of life to provide you what is needed for your highest good. These laws support the universal concept of infinite love that is available to every human being and creature.

McArthur then links universal law to various stages of transformation. Our life is what it is based on our use of these laws, in the positive or negative. Thorough explanations of the law of attraction (like begets like) and the law of cause and effect provide clarity into why your life is as it is. You have literally attracted your current life situation through the use or misuse of these laws. A lot of the misuse of these laws has to do with the ego personality of the human being which shows up as judgment, complaining, blaming, fault-finding, and other negative attitudes. These attitudes are energies that attract more of the same in kind. The positive use of the laws is explained as application of spirit or the higher self within each of us.

The author connects the use of additional laws with the example of planting seeds and growth through nature’s processes. These seeds are explained as high level attitudes and values that express spirit and soul in the positive. Consequently, these laws are part of the process and power of creativity toward fulfilling one’s destiny. He offers the concepts of Truth, Love, Law, and God and the integration of all four as the ultimate “master” law of transformation.

In the second half of the book McArthur asks and helps you focus on the most important questions of: Who are you? Why are you here? What is the purpose of your life on earth? The book discusses spirit, consciousness, will and how to apply universal laws. He offers numerous exercises to help you apply the laws of self, service, equality, and priority. Lastly, it provides exercises to help you consciously shift negative patterns of attitudes and behaviors into positive – spirit based patterns. These exercises will improve your focus and assist you in making the right choices for your self and contribution within your life purpose.

A Soul

A Soul is an Essence

A Soul lifts us to a higher level

A Soul can open new doors and close old ones

A Soul teaches us that words are powerful

A Soul can give you confidence to push through the fear

A Soul is a higher spirit

A Soul is our Essence
